the gramercy has a curfew? what time? I saw Ensiferum there last year and it didn't end till after 2am, but shitty bands played before them, their concert didn't start till 10pm-ish. I really hope there's no local bands when I see them Saturday...

Absu Setlist:

1) The Coming of War
2) Swords and Leather
3) Amy
4) The Thrice Is Greatest to Ninnigal
5) Four Crossed Wands (Spell 181)
6) Manannan
7) Highland Tyrant Attack
8) Never Blow Out The Eastern Candle

Might go see this if I get knocked out of my poker tournament early. Hopefully we get a few more from Immortal.

The show ended at 11:50. Abbath even said "stange curfew tonight". No encore, they just walked off stage without a goodnight or anything.

I know what show you are talking about, which is the only occasion I have heard of that. All the times I have been to Gramercy there has been a curfew...which is just rare in NYC to begin with.

So with all the hype around this band...was it worth it?

Immortal is always worth it I suppose. High price tag, short set, but I expected that going into it, so I can't really complain. Anytime I get to see one of my old faves, I'm content. You never know when you or they might be gone.

So... I have to ask, does Absu hate their most recent album? I thought it was awesome.

Yeah, more from the last album would be nice. But, that is still a fucking great Absu set, all excellent songs.

I'm definitely hoping for a couple more songs from Immortal.
