Godddamn I can't even express how stoked I am to finally see Eluveitie headlining. They were great as support for Amon Amarth, but they have so many awesome songs that I don't think it did them justice. Unfortunately, age-restrictions kept me from seeing their headlining show on the Heathenfest tour a few years back... Ah well.

All will be good when I join them on stage for Thousandfold!

Yeah, I'm thinking I may have to go to this now. Cro-Mags are playing the same night though... Meh, how would you say hardcore shows compare to folk metal shows in terms of crowd energy and overall fun-ness?

It just depends on what you like more.

Eluveitie had more pit activity, a lot more chanting/singing along, but there were a lot of kids there that were kind of douchey.

Back in January, I saw Gaza. Their stage presence was amazing, and although there weren't a lot of people there, the people who were passionate about Gaza pound-for-pound put out more energy than the crowd at Eluveitie.

Hahaha no no, they sounded phenomenal! I was just taking a friendly stab at him for mislabelling it (as we all do when we're tired). I'm so glad they're opening with The Goatrider's Horde. Always thought it would make a killer beginning!
