Metallica -- Tulsa, OK -- January 28th, 1989

I'm also jumping on the "1st Metallica Show" bandwagon.

The Ecstasy of Gold
(Ennio Morricone cover)
Blackened
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Leper Messiah
Harvester of Sorrow
Eye of the Beholder
Bass Solo
Master of Puppets
One
Seek & Destroy
...And Justice for All
# 1 Encore:
Creeping Death
Fade to Black
Guitar Solo
Battery
#2 Encore:
Last Caress
(Misfits cover)
Am I Evil?
(Diamond Head cover)
Whiplash
Queensr˙che was the opener on the Empire tour great show.

All I can remember from my first Metallica show is that they opened with their cover of Helpless and closed with Enter Sandman. It was July 3rd, 1998 in Toronto, I think.

I WOULD KILL TO SEE "EYE OF THE BEHOLDER"

That's the best song on "and justice for all" in my opinion.

Damn man. Killer set

Glad you hopped aboard the "POST YOUR FIRST TALLICA' GIG" Train

Check online and you'll be able to find and download some boots from this tour with EOTB on it. I've got one from Bloomington, MN in 1989 and the song sounds great. I guess they just don't like playing it because it hasn't been played since that tour

Anyways, here's a link to good Metallica (and other bands) bootlegs.

This, although I think Straw is the best song off Justice (hell every song on that album is killer)

I really hope they play Beholder soon it is truly a kick ass song
