The Final Frontier tour is pretty much the only time Maiden has revisited their newer albums without being on an album tour for them, so all the casual fans screaming for only old stuff can get fucked, for 11 years Maiden has played setlists with a majority of old shit.

edit: although yes, fuck Iron Maiden for barely touring the US

I think the point your missing is even when they play old songs they're the same fucking songs over and over again, tour after tour.

Also this last tour having nothing off Piece of Mind and Nothing off Powerslave is terrible. 3 Dianno songs and 2 Number of the Beast songs that have been played every tour since 1984 isn't exactly pleasing to me.

I'm all for mixing it up but that wasn't mixing it up to me. That tour was an attempt to sell back catalog cd's and I seriously doubt it worked since they didn't even play the best songs off those cd's in most cases.

I also agree that they don't play a lot of different old songs, which is why I especially liked all the BNW/DoD songs!

Well yeah, I don't think anyone can argue that point. Which is why I was so happy to hear 8 new songs that I've never heard before (the BNW, DOD stuff and El Dorado) then the same 80's songs I've already heard. I'd love to see some of the more obscure 80s material and I'm not sure that there's anything we can do to get them to play it but here's a thought. Maybe people should stop sucking RTTH and TNOTB's dicks and bitching every time they are not played and maybe Maiden would feel less inclined to play them. That'll never happen though.

Well, hopefully after the huge success their tour here was, they'll tour just as extensively for the next classics tour, which should be the best one of them all if it's the SIT/Seventh Son one.
