I have never been a die-hard Motorhead fan but a best-of of this legendary band released in their glory days in ' 84 which covers their first 6 albums is pretty much essential to get my dose of Motörhead when I feel like it. All the classics are there with 4 extra songs (who are now classics too ). I had most of theses songs on 4 track casettes in my youth and it was always welcome in my walkman once in a while. When I have learn that I would see them 3 times in 4 nights with Maiden and Dio in 2003 I have felt the need to officiallise my relation with them by getting this album. By the way I really didn’t like them that much live though: way too much distortion, sound was bad the 3 nights (NYC, Québec city and Montreal) and full of feedbacks. But studio, Motörhead it is dirty, hostile and starved. Just the way I like it …

Cheers !

Why would you feel ashamed of liking the Cult? Great band in their day and that disc has some great tunes on it.

I’ve heard these classics countless times all the way back from my childhood. My parents were fan like everybody else back then and the fab 4 were playing on radio all the time. If you're into music you have to give credit to these guys. I have this on 4 track casette so I almost never listen to it anymore but it still amazing. These songs never age.

Cheers !

Beau Dommage is a Québec 70's Peace & Love kind of band, that most of you americans probably never heard of. This is their first album. They weren't there for long (4-5 albums I think). Although I'm not a big fan of the genre, this album was particulary important for me in my late teens\early 20's as I was going out in this Montreal bar were they were covered a lot by local ''chansonnier''. All those songs are now classic in the Québec culture and I still like to play it once in a while

Cheers !

Even if I consider Floyd as my 2 iemme favorite band, I'm not listening them that often like metal bands which are lower in my classification. You need to be in the right mood to listen to Pink Floyd. But when the mood strikes... oooouuuu they are great

Ummagumma, the beginning of Pink Floyd , psychedelic, chaotic, scary at times, brilliant. disc 2 is almost not music for the most part , I never listen to it. I have just put it and I hid under the sofa, I was afraid! But the disk 1 is fucking amazing, 4 progressive classics of the early years. At the Olympic stadium in Montreal in ' 94 they opened the show with Astromomy Domine under purple spots which moved on the giant screen, 22 nd row up in front it was too much for my friend who collapse hahaha and had to be escorted outside the stadium. Great album by a great band... many more to come ...

Cheers !
