The Top 101 album that changed my life

not my top 101 best albums, some of these I don't listen to them anymore but at some point in time it was big ! It's more or less the top 101 albums I've listened to the most in my life

They had or still have an impact on me so far...

I have carefully made my list this past week and I'm gonna listen to them all in the next few (months) probably...

I starded tonight, there it is

I have always prefered Ozzy to Ronnie in Sabbath but this album proved me that Dio was the man to do the job. I still pop it in once in a while

oh yeah: live albums, best of, compilation are all in, sometimes a good live or best of was all i needed for certain bands

Yep, that's a good start right there. With every passing day I think I love Dio Sabbath just a little bit more -- and I get a little more sad that Ronnie James is no longer of this world.

I got this pretty much when it came out. I listened to it quite a bit back then but maybe once a year now. During the 90's grunge was a big part of the music I was in to. As some of the albums lower in my list will show, I really loved a few bands of that grunge era. The music was catchy, angry at times and very grounded. With the exeption of Iron Maiden , metal was less present in my life in favor of grunge. Early 20's I was starting in life, I had left home, going out in bars, meeting girls, life was good ...

Haha! Yes! I also got this album the instant it came out. Alice in Chains's best song AND Pearl Jam's best song, and "Birth Ritual" rocks like a mofo. The Paul Westerberg stuff was really disappointing though. As was the lack of Tad (who had a brief cameo in the film, which was otherwise 100% forgettable).

Dude, I saw a conceptual cover band called Citizen Dick that was a tribute to the Singles soundtrack.

They were awful. Some cool songs on there though, namely Would?

Both good choices. Live Evil helped me to become the huge Sabbath/Dio fan I am now when I bought it like 20 years ago. I played that album to death and it has a very special place with me.

I don't recall owning the 'Singles' soundtrack but it was a very popular album and you couldn't go wrong with putting AIC, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam on a compliation at that time. If you were gonna do a movie about young people in Seatlle in the early 90s those three bands were the best you could pick from.

'Would?' actually was a single off the soundtrack and not off Dirt. The soundtrack came out before Dirt. Just a little fun fact for all you younglings out there.
