It's just that I just don't care enough for the music itself either way on the whole. Those who know what I listen to most of the time shouldn't be too surprised that I don't really care for the whole punk/metal hybrid thing. A lot of the material is fun live and fun to play, but there's maybe only 5 songs from the first 2 albums combined I really, genuinely like. That being said, Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite Maiden songs.

I share in the general hate for No Prayer, as shown by my ranking. That being said, I think Fear of the Dark gets a bad rep. If they would've shaved the album down to be this:

01.Be Quick or Be Dead
02.Judas be My Guide
03.Afraid to Shoot Strangers
04.Childhood's End
05.Wasting Love
06.The Fugitive
07.Chains of Misery
08.Fear of the Dark

...I would love it. I think there's some really great and underrated material on the disc, it's just obstructed by 4 of the absolute biggest clunkers Maiden have ever written (From Here to Eternity, Fear is the Key, The Apparition, Weekend Warrior).
Apart from "Be Quick or Be Dead" I hate everything about that album. My least favorite songs on it are everyone else's favorites (ATSS & FOTD). That album disgusted me so much I stopped listening to Iron Maiden for five years.

Twilight Zone, Purgatory, and others all sounded cool with Bruce on vocals. I wouldn't rate those albums so low though...
They tried that with "Prowler '88" and "Charlotte the Harlot '88." The results were awful.

I kind of agree with that. Although I think Wrathchild '99 sounds really cool.

I don't have a problem with DiAnno or that period in general, I just think that album has a lot of mediocre filler. And "Drifter" is probably one of my bottom 5 Maiden songs.
