I consider the fact that it's not all out there for you to see is what makes it more appealing to me. I've been listening to these guys for quite some time now (relative to my age, mind you ), and I'm still hearing stuff I haven't heard in there before. I think the Dead Flag Blues is one of my favorite album openers in post-rock. It's really a blast.

I didn't interpret what you said as condescending, I just don't understand what a EITS fan would hate about GY!BE.

It took me forever to get into this band. I never disliked them but I never loved them and I'm still not 100% sold on them but after listening to their albums multiple times, I'm finally a fan. I still don't think they are the best band in post-rock and they ARE overrated but I will probably go to the Nashville show anyways because I saw they usually play my favorite part of my favorite song (Sleep) and I've heard they're amazing live.
