Rush -- Buffalo, NY -- October 20th, 1996
Since Irritated Trout just went to his first Rush show I decided to post the set from the first time I saw them live.
Set One Intro (Thus Spake Zarathustra from 2001: A Space Odessy) Dreamline The Big Money Driven Half The World Red Barchetta Animate Limbo The Trees Red Sector A Virtuality Nobody's Hero Closer To The Heart 2112 (IN FULL) Set Two Test For Echo Subdivisions Freewill Roll The Bones Resist Leave That Thing Alone! The Rhythm Method (Drum Solo) Natural Science Force Ten Time And Motion The Spirit Of Radio Tom Sawyer Encore YYZ Cygnus X-1: Book I (Just a little bit of the intro only) Even though I saw them from the front row ealier this month, this still remains my favorite show from them. The song selection was excellent and to have all of 2112 and NS in the same show was unbelieveable. The band was great, just as they continue to be today. I also saw them twice the following summer the only changes I remeber is that TBM was dropped for Limelight and they also did Stick It Out. I think they dropped Red Sector A for that. The only change in set two was Time & Motion being dropped. Along with seeing the Metallica/Guns N Roses stadium tour in 1992 this remains among my best concert memories.

I love Test For Echo, seeing that tour would've been awesome.

Pretty lame after Overture/Temples but then again the song does mellow down a lot after that. Still I didn't hear too many people singing along with it at all after Temples was done

They most certainly did play it. Both me and my brother, who went with me remember it.
Plus, my source for getting the order of the set right is this: http://www.cygnus-x1.net/links/rush/setlists.php No Rush fan can argue with this source at all

If you don't believe me about T&M getting played just check with the guys over at The Rush Forum. I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm that over there. As for the 3 Stooges intro on the VT tour, I honestly don't recall what they used as an intro that tour. The DVD didn't show the intro either but i'm positive as to what songs i've heard them do live before.
