DevilDriver -- San Antonio, TX -- September 1st, 2010

Venue: Scout Bar

Openners: Kittie, Kataklysm, Misery, Hostility

End of the Line
Nothing's Wrong
Pray for Villans
Before the Hangman's Noose
Clouds Over California
Fate Stepped In
Not All Who Wander Are Lost
Grinfucked
These Fighting Words
The Mountain
I Could Care Less
Meet the Wretched

I had a blast. I'm a big DevilDriver fan and it has been awhile since I've got a chance to see them. Kataklysm was on the bill as well, and was looking forward to see them as well. Unfortunately Kittie would be playing inbetween the 2 and I just didn't want to hear them at all. I tried to time my arrival to miss Kittie, and I did a pretty good job. I think I only heard 1 or 2 songs. There weren't to many people there I would say about 100 or so, but I guess that isn't horrible for a Tuesday night. I enjoyed it

Yeah, 100 people doesn't seem like a lot, especially since i've heard from people that San Antonio is pretty good when it comes to metal crowds and turn outs.

Why does it seem that DevilDriver always has way too many bands opening for them?

I wouldn't be that conserned about the low attendence. It was a Tuesday night, schools are getting back in session and DD has toured the country pretty extensively on this tour. So people have had opportunities to see them already.

Yeah I saw them on a Monday night and it was 150 tops. Less openers would have helped for sure. I really wanted to hear Back with a Vengeance

I've seen them a few times and they've never played those songs, so I wouldn't expect it anyway.

I've seen them 3 times and they've never played Knee Deep but they did play Swinging The Dead the first time.
