Cool review man. I really respect your passion and outright obsession for Fisticuffs. That song never possessed me like that but I still enjoy it. I'm more that way over John the Fisherman and 90% of Cheese. I wish they would at least do a Fish On reprise or something. Something about that song just makes me giddy.

Yeah I wouldn't miss these guys for anything if they came around here. When I told people Primus blew U2 off the stage at the Zoo TV tour people looked at me like I was crazy but I knew I was right. That place was electric when Primus played and a fucking tomb with U2 played.

This is the best setlist I've seen on this tour, not counting the mega-one out west.

Glad you had fun. I'm going again in october.

I'm thinking about trying to convince my wife to go see them in Chicago in October. It's three days before her birthday, and her family ives in Northwest Indiana (about an hour southeast of Chicago). Cross your fingers for me.

By the way, I forgot to talk about merch. They had some pretty kickass shirts on sale, and they were only twenty-five bucks and available in all sorts of colors (most of which were NOT black!) and sizes, including XXL for the Los Muy Grandes Bastardos such as yours truly.

I picked me up one that had [a modified version of] this picture:

...on the front of one of these:

...and on the back it says:

"When some trendy new atrocity has brought you to your knees, come with us we'll sail the Seas of Cheese"

...in bright yellow script letters between the shoulder blades.

Not sure if anyone noticed but they're doing another "An Evening with Primus" in Vegas coming up. Had I seen it earlier I would have gone for sure. Concerts at The Joint are some of my most memorable shows.

YEAH ...the Williamsburg Area was ALL retro from back in Wood-Stock Days....selling so Much JUNK on the Sidewalks & Bicycles & MORE Bicycles everywhere U Turn....On Every Meter on Every Sidewalk!!!
And Cops Walking around Giving Out TICKETS for drinking.....
and SCALPERS selling already Scanned Seats!!! The Nerve!! like $45 -$60
So i got there about 7:40PM and analyzed the GATE & the Scanners & found the Weak-Link and Just WALKED Right Thru w/NO TICKET!!
I've Been doing that for MANY Concerts!
You need Finesse & Confidence & PERFECT Timing!!
Hopped over concrete WALL to my Right & was on SIDE of Stage as GOGOL BORDELLO was thanking everybody.....Went BACK to entrance Of Stage from the BACK and saw Members of His Band Exit Stage Left!
and I ENTERED the Back-Stage and was gonna sit by the Speakers but then i thought why not get a spot in the Front-row......
The SMELL of WEED & too Many REAL Young looking Slackers & Preppies !!!
I was trying to get a Breeze & by the 4th song (DAMN TWEEKERS) the PIT Exploded into MAJOR Slamming!! Lots of Sweat & people PUSHING thru to the Front!
GASPING for Fresh Air & Some God-Damn SPACE i realized by Song's End i wound up BACK in the 60th Row!!!
Every-Time I reached to LEAN on Somebody their Shirt Was DRIPPING Sweat & Naked Guys ALL Smelly!!
I should Have STAYED Back-Stage by the Speakers Some-Where!
LES really commented about the Back of Venue & the Sky-Line.
AT one Point they Had Bluesy Guitars & i thought it was DAZED & CONFUSED!
REAL upset about the SHORT Encore......TOO MANY PUPPIES~~~~~~~~
Did get FREE PiZZA & Watermelon Juice & CORN on COB & Ice-Cream when the Vendors were shutting Down at about 10:15PM.
I want to see RHCP & Soundgarden at Chicago Lollapalooza next!
