Ok. I'm confused. The Faceless and Hiroshima Will Burn (and Red Chord, but I don't know why they're on this list) are more "technical" than what I would consider deathcore. The first two sound enough like BTBAM and Red Chord for me to not hate them (I will have to listen to the other ones. I'm honestly curious now.)

So, my point is, what the fuck is deathcore then? Another band that showed up on the Hiroshima Will Burn video I watched as "The Juliet Massacre" which was all terrible single chord grinding *chug chug chug*, slow China cymbal-snare-China cymbal-snare, piq squeal, breakdown shit. So, are there two camps? The technical stuff in one corner, and then the shitty, unoriginal, non-technical, flat-bill cap, Emmure/Impending Doom crap? Cause I could get into the technical stuff, but I refuse to associate it with the other stuff.

This is list is generally death metal with hardcore influence, versus bands like Oceano / Whitechapel / Suicide Silence / Carnifex, which are -core with the slightest imaginable metal influence.

So, I guess you could say it's split into two camps. Although, the camp of good bands is minuscule in comparison to the bad one.

Ok, so can you give me suggestions for bands to check out that sound like new The Faceless, Red Chord (Clients-era is all I'm familiar with), and new Between the Buried and Me?

EDIT: And Obscura. I'm putting them in that camp too.

Well, Between the Buried and Me has a very distinct sound. Plus, I am not as familiar with the genre, so it would be hard for me to find another band like them.

I will look into finding something similar to Clients.

For something similar to newer The Faceless I really recommend the new Burning the Masses. The vocals are a different style, but the music has a similar feel to The Faceless. However, The Faceless is much better than them. Other bands to check out like them: Arkaik, Augury, Gorod, Son of Aurelius, and more recent Decrepit Birth. Sorry if you already listen to all those bands, I just can't think of anything else.

I thought of a band similar to newer Between the Buried and Me, but they are instrumental. Scale the Summit. I assume you are looking for something with vocals, but check them out. They're really talented.

Okay, so I came up with a total of 239 death metal albums... Is anyone actually interested in me posting that many or should I shorten the list by about 139 albums?

Good list treghet. I really don't consider The Red Chord to be deathcore but besides that solid list. On a related note Sodom if your are looking for a good deathcore record check out Winds Of Plague's last record The Great Stone War. I loved it and I really don't think a lot of people have given it a fair chance. It's not a boring bree bree record there is a lot of symphonic metal influences on it and I thought it was a great record.
