Almost all "leaks" come from shitty journalists, and I know for sure many of them are watermarked. Sometimes they trace them, sometimes not.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, then I wonder why albums don't leak 2 weeks to a month in advance as much as they used to 5 years ago. Back then, everything leaked that far ahead. Now, we're lucky if we get them a week in advance.

Because that's often how far in advance they're delivered. For that very reason.

Some labels are better. Nuclear Blast deliver their stuff a couple of months in advance. Their latest ones are Death Angel and Therion, both of which aren't out for some time yet.

Some, like Metal Blade and AFM, don't deliver their's until a week before release in most cases.

The majors are even tighter. Sometimes not until the day of release.

That's for the majority of press. For the really major publications, they get it earlier so that the reviews are placed on time. The difference there is that circle of people is much smaller, and it's not worth their jobs to be the one to leak things now they can be traced.

So yes, you get a kind of lull between the biggest publications getting releases, and between the smaller ones getting them and leaking them because they've got less to lose.

I got the new Megadeth about 2 weeks before the release and the new Nevermore about a month before the "official" release date. So, there are some cases recently where the album is leaked early.

I've been checking the torrent sites for about a week now looking for the new Maiden. I know it'll be up somewhere before the album is released.

Yeah, I'm aware of the legend. I'm not sure how well known it is though. Maybe it's different in England but I came aware of the legend through the song.

Er... I think that just makes you a bit uninformed

Put it this way, it's FAR more well known than the song is.

Now that I think of it, I somewhat remember my 2nd Grade teacher telling the story. But yeah, I'll admit I am somewhat uninformed about these kinds of legends and sorts. But I have a pretty big cultural difference from most of you, I could say you all are uninformed for not knowing the whole Ramayana
