I give High on Fire a lot of credit. they played in Montreal on Saturday and then shoot over to England for Sunday.

Yeah... but they're pretty busy with Down, so don't lose hope. Phil's doing his other little bands and shit, but they're working on Down IV, so there'll be major touring before too long.

Meh, same old same old. Both Opeth and High On Fire have been playing the exact same sets all Summer.

Audrey Horne was by far the best band of the day. Then Down. Lethargy, Clutch, Opeth, High On Fire. In that order.

I honestly tried to give High On Fire a second chance live. They bored me in June, but I thought hey, maybe the setting or the really early stage time didn't suit. But no, they were boring again. Pure, uninterrupted monotony. And they're not even entertaining to watch.

A band much more suited to record for me. That's if they can actually write any new riffs for the next one...

Matt Pike did jump on stage with Down at the very end of Bury Me In Smoke and took over on Pepper's guitar though, which was pretty cool. No idea who the guy on Kirk's guitar was.
