Still the only band I've heard that people call "deathcore" that isn't unlistenable garbage is Animosity, and they've broken up.

The Red Chord is good too, in my opinion, and I know a lot of people have labeled them as deathcore.

Is it? That shit just gave punk a bad, inaccurate name. I'm way more satisfied with what's happening in punk right now than what was happening in the 80s.

EDIT: That's not to say I don't like a good number of "rah rah anarchy" first wave and second wave bands, but that shit does get old.

I love AJJ, but I wouldn't call them punk. Not musically, anyways.

Punk rock nowaday is street punk. Bunch of bands trying to be british who cover Uk82 songs and just sing about Thier hair,beer,cops,and hating emo fashion. Its bullshit. Street punk is the only punk thats going on right now. Hardcore(real stuff) is coming back slowly but its kinda diffrent. There are still some great Powerviolence bands,and very few D-Beat bands but thats it. And pop punk still have fans i think.
