YEs that is one of the best Metallica setlists's I've seen so far. AS much as I like Death Magnetic, I'm ahppy to see only 3 songs from it.

Even the Death Magnetic songs chosen are good choices. The day that never comes was always a bit of a bore in their live set.

Getting really tired of this setlist structure now.

So you prefer the setlist where half the songs were from Death Magnetic? Most bands rarely change it up on the same world tour anyway.

The setlists change almost every night... some bands play "hail satan" the whole evening.

I'm aware they change some songs every night. I saw them twice on last year's tour, in London and Copenhagen. But the structure of their setlists didn't change. And yes, I did prefer the setlists with five Death Magnetic songs in because it meant hearing different songs, instead of the same old ones rotating. But that was for their arena shows.
For festivals they had the same setlist structure they're playing this year. I thought they'd change it this year, but they haven't. i.e. Creeping Death ?? ?? ?? Fade To Black That Was Just Your Life The End Of The Line Sad But True ?? ?? from Death Magnetic ?? One Master Of Puppets ?? Nothing Else Matters Enter Sandman ?? from Garage Inc. ?? ?? from Kill 'em All ?? Seek and Destroy So frankly, just rotating the same pool of about 10 songs in those ?? gaps is getting boring now.
