Clutch -- Toledo, OH -- June 6th, 2010
Just another incredible performance from the greatest live band on the planet. Not much to say other than it was fantastic. Took my 14-year-old brother for his first ever concert, and there's no better band to cut your live music teeth on in my opinion. Never Got Caught was pretty good, Lionize was actually pretty fantastic and way better than the first time I saw them, the Bakerton Group was, well, Clutch without vocals, so naturally pretty damn good, and Clutch was Clutch. That should be enough information to know how great this show was. Finally got to see some songs I've never seen them do (this was my 5th Clutch gig), and they encored acoustically which they've never done until this tour - weird arrangements of the songs, but still quite good. Setlist below.
Pure Rock Fury Slow Hole to China The Mob Goes Wild Profits of Doom 50,000 Unstoppable Watts Struck Down The Yeti The House That Peterbilt Power Player Cypress Grove King of Arizona The Soapmakers Burning Beard The Dragonfly Child of the City Electric Worry One Eye Dollar --- (Acoustic encore) The Regulator Tight Like That Ship of Gold

Also, I'm looking over my Word document of "Clutch setlists by album," and I've still only seen five Blast Tyrant songs over the course of five shows. When it hits an anniversary, they seriously need to do it in its entirety.

Badass set. Wish I was catching this tour, the acoustic encore sounds interesting

DM - Sorry, I couldn't make it sounds like you had a great time!
The setlist from last year was a bit better (even if it was smoldering in that mother fucker) but sounds like a great all around show. ![]() I wonder how long they will continue the acoustic encore? I'm very intrigued to hear the songs unplugged. Could this mean they might actually do "Ghost" again? ![]() I would love to see Blast Tyrant in it's entirety. WYSIWYG, Ghost, and Goat Warfare aka Weathermaker are the only songs off Blast Tyrant I have not seen live. It makes sense because Blast Tyrant is Clutch's concept album. I hope they do another "Evening with Clutch" tour like they did back in 04' -05'(two full Clutch sets oh yea ) and maybe they will play the whole thing. I went to one of the evening with shows and it's probably one of my top shows of all time.

I went to the show at Headliners in Toledo last year w/ Maylene & The Sons of Disaster. While it was a great show, they crammed about 1,000 people into that bar stage instead of the empty warehouse next to it. It was so uncomfortable, so I skipped this one.
Was this show in the bar or the warehouse? |

Glad to hear they decided to setup on the big stage. Last year was smoldering but it was still awesome being that close to the band. However, after six songs I had to step outside. Did they have a blue t-shirt that has Abe Lincoln's head in the middle of all these other images that represent various Clutch songs? |

![]() And nah I didn't see that shirt. A few with the classic logo, one with a hand holding a pocketwatch that my friend bought, another with the band on it that was a tour shirt...didn't look too closely though, went for the trucker hat. I assume it's for....wait for it....Peterbilt truckers.
