My vote goes to my dad who is 58. Some of his favorite bands include Queensryche, Dimmu Borgir, As I Lay Dying, In Flames, AC/DC, and Mushroomhead.

Cool. When it was up and running, there was one kid on Iron Maiden's official free forum who was 10. Also, when I saw As I Lay Dying here in Minnesota, they brought a kid who was about that age as well up on to stage and let him rock out and play air guitar for a few songs. That's really great of bands to do things like that.

Do you really think we have 50+ year-olds on this board? Do you know any 50-year-olds who use internet message boards? Anyway, Eric and Nat are the old men in these parts.

Interestingly though, shouldn't there be somebody who was like a 30-year-old guy when the first Sabbath record dropped, loved it, and has followed metal ever since? Wouldn't they be 70 now?

I don't think that we have anyone who fits into these categories. I do know that Nat is not the oldest person here, but you can continue to make fun of him if you want to.
