I'm still annoyed they didn't do a new one when they reunited in 2005. I did get to see them on that tour though, and I have the DVD

I didn't consider it in this way, because the question was favourite debuts, not bands who's debut album is (one of) their best.

Which is why I did include bands with only a couple of albums, if their debut really was damned good. And plenty of bands who have bettered their debut several times, but the debut is still a great album and better than most bands' debuts.

I haven't heard the original because only 537 vinyl copies were ever made, but then they re-recorded it while they were Lefay. I always assumed that "albums" and "LPs" were mutually exclusive in modern day music discussion.

Yeah, that was a perfectly reasonable qualifier. No less than four of my top ten debuted with something other than a full-length.
