The whole decade was great. It didn't matter if you liked metal, rock, rap or pop. Everything music wise was just better then. Especially when you compare it to today where 85% or more of every genre is pure crap. I'm not saying the 80s didn't have its fair share of bad stuff, but most artists that were part of it were at the top of their game song writting wise back then.
