The next afternoon, October 18, 2003, a brunch was organized and a large group visit to Criss Oliva’s Gravesite. There was a formal Memorial Service. That Evening, Streets (Savatage Tribute Band) played their own headlining show, the Mountain King himself, Jon Oliva was in attendance, and got onstage for a few songs. (I will edit if I can find this setlist) Before we left Florida, I had the pleasure of seeing some wonderful Savatage artifacts, in particular items that belonged to Criss. I even held his guitar. The trip ended with a visit to the Hard Rock Café in Orlando, in the Florida Room, where Criss Oliva’s white (Streets guitar) was displayed proudly. This guitar was given to the Hard Rock Café in 1993 by Criss and Jon’s parents after the original Criss Memorial Concert. This guitar stood on that stage in 1993, wrapped in red roses, with a single spotlight on it for the entire set in remembrance. Last edited by The Green and Black; 04-27-2010 at 07:23 AM. |

![]() Yeah, as I said via Yahoo - You can't even begin to fathom how incredibly jealous I am of you for having seen all of this stuff. Also, this would've been the only time Zak ever sang "Miles Away" live. The only other times they did it previously were with Damond on vocals. |
