Sonata Arctica -- Hollywood, CA -- April 24th, 2010
PowerGlove
Tetris (Themes B And C) Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man Storm Eagle X-Men Transformers Theme Drum Solo Power Rangers Sonata Arctica Flag In The Ground Black Sheep Paid in Full The Last Amazing Grays Last Drop Falls Fullmoon Juliet 8th Commandment ![]() ![]() Broken Dead Skin The Cage ------------------- Keyboard Solo Guitar Solo In Black and White Don't Say a Word/Vodka/Everything Fades To Gray Wow, I thought someone would have posted this by now. PowerGlove were great as always. They did have problems during the set and after they announced Mario Minor the bass started to have problems so to pass time the drummer did his solo from their headlining shows. After they got the bass working they had to skip the song due to time constraints. Sonata really impressed me. Their set lists from past shows have been lacking IMO but this show they brought it. When I heard the opening part of 8th Commandment I went insane! Great performance overall.

that's not that bad. wish they'd throw in Kingdom For a Heart, San Sebastian, or My Land though. haven't seen those on any SA set for awhile.

Such a fun concert. Powerglove is fucking awesome as always, Sonata was really good, and Mutiny Within was pretty interesting, they're really talented.
Would've loved to see Mario Minor, but due to tech difficulties they couldn't play it. |

Great fucking show! Loved Powerglove, didn't care much for Mutiny Within and loved most of Sonata's set (except for the slow love songs)
My pics (Nuclear Blast said they'll use it in their next Sonata press release )http://metalassault.com/image.php?y=...&s=SA&d=24&i=1

I completely forgot to mention that I went to the MN show.
All the sets were the same except for Powerglove's impromptu drum solo. I met the guys in Powerglove, Mutiny Within (got their setlist after the set) and caught Tommy Portimo's drum stick after SA's set. I also gave the guys in Powerglove and Mutiny Within copies of My band's Demo EP. They were all very appreciative of it because they had a 12 hour drive ahead of them and needed some new music. Hopefully they dug it. |

Regarding Sonata, that is the same set list they played the next night in Arizona. I thought it was a good show, much better than posters have been giving them credit for. I was worried, but the band was very much into it despite the small club they played in Arizona. I saw Hammerfall at the same club three weeks earlier and Sonata drew about twice the crowd as Hammerfall did. Take care all.
