Here's a musical truth I've know for awhile now.

Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display Of Power are great metal albums and Pantera's future was looking bright after these two releases. But everything else they released after this was a letdown. Far Beyond Driven was OK but nothing special. The Great Southern Trendkill was a bit better but again nothing that special and Reinventing The Steel was average at best. Pantera saved metal from going completely extinct in the mainstream during the early 90s but with the exception of their first two albums their muscial legacy isn't as great as some would have you believe.

I wonder if this will spark a debate or not?

I love all of Pantera's music, but I'm not going to argue about it. Opinions is opinions.
