I agree. I mean I like some deathcore I am not gonna lie everybody around here knows that. I am aware that its trendy and it has garbage fans for the most parts but I am a fan of some of the bands in the genre.

Anyways I got into the stupidest arguement with this scene kid from my school today about Dark Tranquillity. I stated that I thought Dark Tranquillity outperformed The Devil Wears Prada substantily on the KSE tour. He stated that I don't deserve to listen to metal ever again because of that I lol'ed pretty hard.

yeah exactly. but what i noticed is sometimes metalheads won't admit it but say if someone liked a lot of deathcore bands or mainstream metal bands, other metalheads won't take their opinions seriously because they don't have much "metal credibility."

for example say i only listened to deathcore and i said Cannibal Corpse sucks, i would get a lot of shit for it and people would think my opinion didn't matter because i have "shit music taste." if i listened to a lot of death metal like Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Immolation, Nile, etc, and said Cannibal Corpse sucks, my opinion would be MUCH more respected than the other situation.

There are guys on here whom I respect and they listen to a lot of death metal and say Dying Fetus' vocals suck. Now, as we all know, they are really fucking stupid for saying that.

i'm saying that the situation would be much more respected than the other situation if someone only liked deathcore. and to be honest i think Dying Fetus's low grunts are terrible as well.
