Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation -- Minneapolis, MN -- July 10th, 2005
Figured someone might get a kick out of this oldie but goodie. I've been going through my archives so I'll probably be posting a few more like this today.
This was my first concert. I was obsessed with Zeppelin when I was a kid and one time at a family function my Great Uncle started telling me about how see saw them twice on the '77 tour and what not. A few months later I was informed that He, my Aunt, and I were going to Robert Plant. This is still one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Setlist: 1. No Quarter 2. Shine It All Around 3. Black Dog 4. Takamba 5. Darkness 6. That's The Way 7. Hey, Hey, What Can I Do? 8. Tin Pan Valley 9. Four Sticks 10. Mighty Rearranger 11. Gallows Pole 12. When The Levee Breaks Encore 13. The Enchanter 14. Whole Lotta Love |

I saw this in Oakland, pretty much the same set but he played White Rabbit because I guess the Bay Area meant a lot to him. I thought it was good but the set was fairly short and most of the Zeppelin material was re-interpreted in some way. When the Levee Breaks was almost all acoustic and I didn't even know they were playing No Quarter til half way through the first verse.

I dunno, I liked the twists he put on the Zeppelin tunes.
