It's too hard to limmit the 80s to just 30 songs. The decade was too good. I'm not sure what it was but most bands were just at the top of their game during this period.

If I were to do a list it would mainly be dominated by Metallica, Maiden and Rush. With some Megadeth, Sabbath, Dio, Ozzy, Anthrax, Mercyful Fate and King Diamond thrown in. If there was a top 100 songs of the 80s thread i'm pretty sure I still wouldn't be able to fit in everything without feeling I overlooked something that should be mentioned.
