Vocals way up front, clicky sterilized drum sound (especially the kick), guitars sound fine, but the decline in production value since the first album continues. Good thing the music itself is great and that's what really matters, cuz everybody knows live is where High on Fire make their bread.

Decline in production overall or production "High on Fire"-wise?

High On Fire-wise. Sure it sounds all clean and modern and hi-fi and whoop-di-do, but the atmosphere/vibe is drastically changed. The colors are different, if I may sound a little bit hippy

Well he sounds a hell of a lot better with HoF than Metallica... Pike does a bunch of wierd shit to fill in empty space all of the time so it doesn't sound nearly as dry as it should.
