forget what band you were making a list for?

and I don't really think I would want to hear James sing Bruce's vocals, especially slaughtering hallowed be thy name, or run to the hills. Bruce can barely hit the notes in run to the hills, there's no way in hell James could.

another thing, did you even try to clock that set?
I highly doubt they could play that long and even if they could, I love metallica, but I'm not sure I could take that much metallica at one time..

just sayin...

Of course Its my " Dream " Setlist . as for the Maiden covers, that was just more for a joke than anything (And Iron Maiden is my favourite band of all time so.... i wouldnt mind tallica playin a few maiden covers instead of the useal covers they play

I agree
its getting tedious at this stage. Not to say all their covers are bad there are some great ones (Mercyful Fate comes to mind). Encore with two ride the lightning songs + seek and destroy every show would work better methinks

I mean I really like that they pay respect to their influencers, but they need some different ones by this point, we've all heard 'die die my darling' 'stone cold crazy' and 'last caress' into the ground.

Metallica needs to cut out the covers compeletly at this point. They have too many classic songs of their own to play now. The only cover they should do with any consistancy anymore is Am I Evil. Let's be honest that song is pretty much theirs at this point. They've given it more popularity and have played it way more live than Diamondhead(who?) ever did. When I first got KEA on cassette(around 1990 or so) I bought the copy that had Blitzkrieg and Am I Evil on it. Too me these two were never covers I always accepted them as Metallica originals, especially in the case of AIE.

If they wanna do something like WITJ, Astronomy or TSH ever so often that's cool but does anyone really care about these covers to begin with? The bands they cover were obscure when they were making new music and today most of these bands are even more irrelevant than they were 25-30 years ago.

Metallic Sampler Tour Take 2

Just looked at my old Metallica Sampler Tour posting...

I'd like to withdraw and re-post.

I actually had a dream the other night that I got in a fight with Lars over a scene in Day of the Dead and then when he went onstage to play with the band, he made me get out there with a white Jackson guitar and play the solos to all their songs and I didn't know them.

Then he got on the microphone and said they were gonna play a new song they just wrote and he went backstage and played that Black Heart song that everyone thought was Slipknot before Iowa came out over the loud speakers as the rest of the band pretended to play onstage.

Price: $15, no service fees, not affiliated with LiveNation
