Above average crap is still crap, that's all I'll say.

And no, I'm not a taper. Mostly for the reason that audience recordings blow. See above.

keep in mind youtube lowers quality, so the actual track sounds better than the low quality youtube spews out. but low quality? if you take a listen to most of the recordings out there, mine are def above average. im not saying mine are the shit or anything, some are better than others, but i would def not say theyre "very low quality"
I haven't seen a report of Blood for Blood being played anytime during the Blackening cycle, and for them to pull it out during a 45 minute set is really surprising.

I know how youtube lowers quality. I'm sorry but your audience recordings may be better than most, but audience recordings blow 90% of the time. It's one thing to have video with poor audio quality, but poor audio on a strictly audio recording is a waste of time in my and apparently others opinions. Calling a single track condenser mic recording of a live show a "master" is a little silly and very misleading. Even poor quality bootleg concert videos have mixer audio.

Sorry if I just reiterated my and ravenheart's previous posts.

do some reading: taperssection.com

anyway, i didnt come here to get into a debate about what makes a good recording, since, ya know...its all subjective anyway. i just wanted to see if anyone here was a taper so maybe we could get some live recordings of a new band
