Steel Panther -- Baltimore, MD -- September 30th, 2009
I was going to bail on this show last second. I'm not a hair band kinda guy but I love the lyrics to Steel Panthers songs. I described them to a friend as Van Halen meets The Mentors and that's a pretty accurate label I think.
Holy shit, what a show. Seriously I laughed 30 times and the music came off pretty heavy live. The guitar solo was one of the most entertaining solos I've ever seen. Shocking. The guitarist Satchel stole the show. Dude shreds and during his solo he got behind the drum kit and actually played drums while doing Eddie Van Halen Eruption-type-shit. Between the banter, the chicks jumping up on stage and getting topless & the hysterical lyrics it was a great time. I highly recommend seeing them. I'll post a few pics if I have any good ones.
