DragonForce -- Cincinnati, OH -- April 26th, 2009

First band was Daath. This was my second time seeing them, and they played death metal with some widdly widdly solos. I would not listen to them given the choice.

Second band was Cynic. Cynic are the best band ever to only release two albums, are very underrated, and absolutely did not belong on this our, because DragonForce fans do not appreciate prog. That European tour with Opeth made a lot more sense (and a tour with Porcupine Tree would make even more. Someday...) Their performance was incredible. Setlist was as follows:

Nunc Fluens
The Space for This
Evolutionary Sleeper
Adam's Murmur
Celestial Voyage
The Unknown Guest
King of Those Who Know
Integral Birth

DragonForce were actually pretty fucking entertaining. Not one of my favorite bands, or even really a very good one, but they put on a show. What they maybe lack in songwriting they make up for in personality, and everything was turned to 11. They played:

Heroes Of Our Time
Operation Ground And Pound
Reasons To Live
Heart Of A Dragon
The Warrior Inside
Revolution Deathsquad
Soldiers Of The Wasteland
The Last Journey Home
Valley Of The Damned
Through The Fire And The Flames

Good show.
