Rockstar Mayhem Festival 2009 @ Cricket Wireless Pavilion
Phoenix, AZ -- July 17th, 2009

There was no Jagermeister stage, so all bands were on the Hot Topic stage except for Bullet, Killswitch, Slayer, and Manson which were on the Rockstar Main Stage. As such, all of the bands were short on time and had to cut a song each from their setlist.

Sucks you didn't get to see full sets. Good job on Trivium for changing up their set a bit, but I think they could've picked a better track then The End of Everything

I believe it is a bonus track, but The Poison, the Knife or the Noose should get played every once in a while. I just love that song

That's gay that Trivium had to take out Throes of Perdition. That song is way too badass.

I'm actually really suprised Trivium isn't playing Gunshot at all, especially since Rain is in the set.

Gunshot is cool and all, but I'm kinda glad they're not playing it. I've heard it twice before, and awesome as it is, I want to hear a lot more Shogun. I personally think Shogun blows anything else they've done out of the water, and I want more of it in the sets. I mean hell, I personally am getting tired of hearing Pull Harder as the permanent closer. I get that it's "their thing" and all, but I really think something else would be cooler. Maybe close with Ignition? Pillar of Serpents? Even Anthem possibly?

Idk, I really like Ignition, it's one of my favs on the record to be honest (Tread the Floods is my favorite). To each their own though.

Pillar would be badass though. Probably others too, just not Pull Harder, please.

Anybody else think it would be killer to end their set with Of Prometheus and the Crucifix?

imo that is a very underrated song and i'd love to hear it live

I think it would be. That song is amazing, just like any other off of Shogun.

In a perfect world, I would have them end with "Shogun"

they said that they're doing 2 full US headlining tours after mayhem!

hopefully, if they finally come to their senses, they'll realize that shogun is amazing, the crusade is shit, and they've been playing way too many songs of ascendancy and not enough off of ember to inferno.
