Behemoth- Evangelion artwork and release date!

August 7th for Europe
August 11th for US

In comparison to previous artworks, I am a wee bit dissapointed, but it isn't bad by any means. Looks like the 11th will be a good day for me

The artwork of the last 2 albums felt to same-y to me, so I like this one a lot.

The artwork is gonna take some time for me. I think the concept behind it is cool though! Regardless, the album is gonna be badass, no doubt!

I was a little disappointed when I saw this. It needs to be blacker lol. It's still epic though.

i think this is by far the most creative and awesome artwork they've had so far. Yes, it is different, but I really like it.

I really like the artwork, especially when you hear Nergal's explanation of it:

Quote:
The picture is of The Great Harlot of Babylon riding the seven-headed beast. Saints bow before her in worship whilst the tablets of the Ten Commandments lie broken at her feet. It represents our vision and the interpretation of the New Testament parable where the "Whore of Babylon" is a symbol of rebellion and resistance against God. [...] The main character of our new cover is an archetype of disobedience, individualism, self-determination and a free, unfettered will - these are universal keywords which are typical and crucial in understanding the character of our works, life as a whole and the true nature of man.
My only real problem with the artwork, is I think having the Behemoth logo in color looks really awkward. It might not on the final, printed product but here it does, to me anyway.
