Not a bad set. Kinda makes me want to stay for Sunday night's show at Maryland Death Fest, but I don't think it will be in the cards for me.
Basically, they're playing a lot of stuff from the new album (which is impressing the hell out of me more every time I hear it...which I did not expect, honestly) - and maybe one or two songs from each of their other albums. Also, they are playing all three of the tracks which the audience voted for them to re-record on the new album, which is also expected ("Out of the Body" = HELL YES!!!) ![]() What I want to know is...where the hell is "Deify Thy Master"!?! I realize fans probably voted for "Out of the Body" over that song from the "Consuming Impulse" album, but how could a classic like DTM not be in the set list? It's the best song Pestilence has ever done! ![]() Still, a pretty good set list (aside from my little rant ).Nat

Perfect timing to see this set, as my MDF ticket came in the mail today. Can't wait!
Deify Thy Master would have been awesome, though. Good setlist as a whole, though - can't wait! |

). Hence, I haven't bought tickets yet. Have you been to MDF before? Is there a chance of it selling out, do ya think?

HOWEVER, as of Saturday, the only tickets left were 100 each for Friday and Sunday. Between the 7th and the 11th, the remaining 200 3-day passes were sold, so I have no idea how fast those 100 might go. But, they're working on increasing the capacity. From the message board: Quote:
But you never know. Hope you can make it to Sunday, all three days are going to be awesome! |

Yeah, I just read what you had posted. It figures.
![]() Well, I have nobody to blame but myself for procrastinating. I will watch the site closely and try to score some tickets if / when they become available in early May. If not, maybe my obsessive nature will get the better of me and I'll just go anyway and try to get some scalped passes. ![]() I hear what you're saying about the whole 3-day deal. I wish I could, but it's a minor miracle that my wife gave me the green light for Saturday as it is. I don't consider myself p-whipped... I just like spending time with my wife and kid. Plus, she lets me indulge my metal "needs" to a pretty fair degree anyway...she isn't a metal-head, but she understands that I am. ![]() I might try to pull off a Sunday "extension", though. ![]() Nat

even without Impaled and Ghoul, this looks like the best lineup for MDF so far

5 songs from the new album is a bit too much for a reunion band for me. I would hope for maybe 2 or 3 new songs at most...5 is too much.
I'm glad that they're playing some stuff from the first two albums, though. I want more (including Deify thy Master or The Process of Suffocation). |

I might be in that area around that time, if so I have to go. Ghoul never plays outside the west coast other than around MDF.
I even asked Ross about a full scale Ghoul tour - he said not likely |
