i think watching sports in general is boring. i guess there are some situations where it creates suspense, like when the last yankees vs redsocks world series game went into overtime and that guy hit a grand slam, but for the most part its just boring to watch, especially with commercial breaks every 2 minutes.

Wait, you like basketball. Basketball players couldn't cut it in hockey for a day, and that's not because of the toughness of it. When basketball players can do their job as well as they do now, but on ice, then maybe we'll talk. Interesting to you or not, hockey is the only major sport which can match the pace of basketball and requires a big skill set in order to excel at it.
