Here's my definite top 5 for the year thus far:

1. Boris - Smile
2. Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV
3. Opeth - Watershed
4. Motorhead - Motorizer
5. Judas Priest - Nostradamus

Other contenders for my year-end top ten would be the new In Flames album, as well as the Eluveitie and Torche albums.

edit: Though I still haven't heard Death Magnetic yet, and it's sounding like it might have a chance . And there's a few more albums that I'd like to hear other than that one as well.

Here's my tentative top 10--I really haven't heard much from this year:

1. Rome - Masse Mensch Material
2. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
3. Agalloch - The White EP
4. Gridlink - Amber Gray
5. Sigur Ros - Med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust
6. Darkthrone - Dark Thrones and Black Flags
7. No Age - Nouns
8. Cynic - Traced in Air
9. Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God
10. Judas Priest - Nostradamus

Other than that, I've only heard Opeth - Watershed, which I pretty much hated (big surprise, although lately I've given them another chance and realized that Still Life and Blackwater Park really do have some solid stuff on them)

On my list to hear are:

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
Nas - Nas
The Monolith Deathcult - Trivmvirate
God is an Astronaut - s/t
Enslaved - Vertebrae
Earth - The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull

Also, hi guys.

Thanks. I'll definitely be around for the year-end top 10 business, but I dunno how much I'll be around after that. Writing a senior thesis sucks
