Apocalyptica -- Hollywood, CA -- October 28th, 2008

Really amazing show

They are a great live band

Best part of this show was that they were the only band. No support acts at all! That was kinda cool and at least I hadn't been to a headliner-only show before this one. They had 2 guests for doing vocals on I'm Not Jesus, Repressed and I Don't Care. I know one of them is from the band Fuel. Can't remember their names as of now. Here's the setlist :

Refuse/Resist
Grace
Life Burns
Fight Fire With Fire
One
I'm Not Jesus
Repressed
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Betrayal
Bittersweet
Last Hope
Seek and Destroy
Inquisition Symphony
------------------------
I Don't Care
Enter Sandman
Hall of the Mountain King

i just like that non-traditional metal instruments are being used.

also, there is a ballet troupe that dances to heavy metal; however, i forget the name of the troupe. from the snippets i've seen on headbangers ball, part of the concept is to show the brutality of ballet by using heavy metal music to display it. their words, i'm just paraphrasing.

what did you see that turned you off? were they way too jumpy over their cellos ala Dragonforce's antics on stage?
