So while it may seem irrelevant now that we're halfway through February, but I think I'm ready to decide on a top 10 for 2007:

1. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
2. No Country for Old Men
3. Juno
4. There Will Be Blood
5. Superbad
6. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
7. The Bourne Ultimatum
8. 300
9. The Simpsons Movie
10. Ratatouille

The fact that you have place Pirates above Bourne (indeed, the fact that Pirates made the list at all) really diminishes your credibility.

Eh, I'm a fanboy. Is it really objectively the sixth best movie of the year? Fuck no. Does it have Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa in it, as well as awesome scenery? Yeppers.

1. Grindhouse
2. 300
3. 28 Weeks Later
4. No Country for Old Men
5. Hot Fuzz
6. Superbad
7. The Simpsons Movie
8. American Gangster

The rest of what I saw wasn't worth making a top 10 list (ie Spiderman 3, Halloween), and I never got around to seeing There Will Be Blood.

I saw Juno and Sweeney Todd over the weekend. Juno was really good, but I thought Sweeney Todd was pretty lame.
