Slipknot had a few good songs but they are a joke as far as metal goes. Tons of teenaged kids will still buy all of their stuff though so they will be around for awhile.

Really.. I think Slipknot does something interesting things... seen 'em in concert couple of times at Ozzfest and headlining their own deal... a few of their songs are fun like People = Shit.... Slipknot is far from any tier of my favorites but I can find fun and value in their kitsch.

agreed. and besides, they were my first band, so they got me into metal. gotta thank them for that

My first metal bands were Iron Maiden, DIO, and Helloween. And that was in 2003.
