Absolutely. Victimizer, Cobalt, Ash Pool, they all landed real close to top 10. Villains I thought I was gonna like more than I did. I think that's about all I've gotten to... some of the shit is harder to find than others.

This Friday will be my last set of purchases for the year. Not sure what I'm getting yet or just how much, but probably a good amount of stuff. I still have a lot of listening left to do before I can accurately rank all releases. I've started a journey to listen to all of them from lowest-to-highest ranked.

Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying
Neurosis - Given to the Rising
Overkill - Immortalis
Pelican - City of Echoes
Pig Destroyer - Phantom Limb
Rwake - Voices of Omens
Slough Feg - Hardworlder
Sodom - The Final Sign of Evil
Tegan and Sara - The Con
Therion - Gothic Kabbalah

And I still plan on getting:

Ride for Revenge - The King of Snakes
Wolves in the Throne Room - Two Hunters
Jesu - Conqueror
Bone Awl - Meaningless Leaning Mess
Gallhammer - Ill Innocence

and maybe a few others like the new Victimizer and God Is An Astronaut. Obviously my year-end list of about 100 albums is going to include a lot of stuff I don't actually own.

Not much point in buying the WIITR album, no packaging or anything really. God Is An Astronaut's album was really good, best post-rock I heard this year by far.
