So my band...
Extortion
Is playing the Oddstad Gallery in Redwood City Dec. 15  The lineup as of now is: Interseed - metalcore, search for reviews on this site Definition Unknown - melodic/prog from Ukiah Extortion - some say we sound like high on fire. but no recordings up yet, so for all you know we could be a Limp Bizkit tribute band Get to the Chopper - formerly Asylum, new name and music is BDM-esque Imperium - Draconian Winter - Every Drop of Blood - sounds like LoG. check out their myspace to see what I mean ADD, I'm assuming you will be there with Dominic

Haha wow you're in Extortion? That's hella funny. If you guys really sound like High On Fire then I'll be there. I'm not down with that whole "scene" anymore but since I don't think there are any other shows happening that night there's a chance I'll attend.
EDIT: Actually nevermind, I'm probably not gonna go. The rest of those bands are so terrible that even the remote possibility that your band is actually ok is not enough to make me take the chance, because I've done enough shows with six or seven shitty bands just to see the one good one and I'm not doing it again ever. Dom will definitely go though cuz he always goes out and supports his brothers band when they play.

I know exactly what you mean
And we dont REALLY sound like high on fire. We somewhat sound like high on fire. But we will probably film the show so we can finally put something up on youtube.

Ok, so it ended up being a pretty good show. Probably the best local show I've seen. I missed Draconian Winter and Imperium due to a taco bell run.
Extortion- 3 original songs without titles, and a cover of 'Iron Tusk' Definition Unknown- Intro "Moments of Reflection" I believe Flush 7th Spring Below the Crown Sonic vs. Mario Extograph? -new song Every Drop of Blood- played about 6 songs, the ones I can name: Crave for Revenge Death Awaits Interseed- had the biggest crowd, there was actually maybe 3 or 4 rows of people in the front of the pit, and there was no stage so the sound wasn't very good Song no one recognized The Hour of Redemption New song Enslaved Opened By Deception Painted Skies Get to the Chopper- worshipped by most of the local scene and hardcore kids on the peninsula, but there were very few people left after Interseed and Draconian Winter incomplete set in no order Darkness as a Bride Ooor Birds of Prey

I didn't feel like starting another thread, so maybe this is the Extortion thread now. Eh
I'm not posting every gig we've had, but we are playing at Cappuchino High School in Millbrae (fyi, bay area  ) on 2/29. I went to the one they had last year and it was actually decent, not uptight like most schools. I thought it would be worth mentioning since I've heard that someone else's band on here was being considered to play... but I don't wanna confirm anything because thats just what I heard and I have no control over who is playing.
