Yes, the Great Maiden Schism Of 2005.

Old-timers may remember that a photo of mine from a Maiden concert servered as our banner-logo for the first year or two. We still have smileys left over from the old OLD IMBB because so many of first members were used to them. Maiden was a huge part of this place for a long time. That really changed in 2005 when Maiden decided to do Early Days Tour and a limited Ozzfest run. The biggest Maiden haters have left the board. Some have abandoned Metal algether. There may not be a vocal rebellion this time around except from our admins.

I don't think even the (Fallen... fallen since he can't keep his band together) Messiah has many true believers left on METALSETLISTS. Maybe the Lake Of Fire should be turned off for conservative purposes.

This will be absolutely great, even when Dickinson at some point during the tour doesn't get enough fiber in his diet. This will cause him on a nightly basis to preach a bit, whine about money and lack of album sales, and what could be described accurately as semi-assholian behavior toward his fans. It'll only last a few minutes of the show....the rest will be bitchin' and night never to be forgotten.

"Stadiums and festivals"? For fuck sakes.

Play some real goddamn venues. Stop trying to hit as many people as possible in a single night and play a string of dates in real places like you used to.

"one and half millions fans"? Yeah, great. But only about 200,000 of those will actually get to see you. Wonderful.

So, what's the UK going to get? Headlining Reading in front of a bunch of indie fans again? That was successful last time. Or Wembley Stadium? The worst venue for music we've had in this country pretty much ever.

I reckon this will rule in the States and suck the big one in Europe.

No, I think that is because he has a crappy voice, and nobody ever really liked him in the first place

Because that's what they did the first time round on the Somewhere/Powerslave tours? They're trying to recreate the old tours, in a way. To recreate those tours without "Iron Maiden" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" wouldn't be accurate.

I'm with you though. I'd much rather they dropped those songs and played stuff exclusively from Somewhere and Powerslave. That would rule.

For me the most exciting thing is getting Maiden England on DVD. I've got the VHS, with the bonus CD. I love that gig.
