Notes: 1) Venue SUUUCKS. It is smaller, so from the lawn you're not that far away. However the sight lines are for shit. There is a mezanine that overhangs the floor, so from the lawn you're looking over the heads of the floor and under the floor of the Mezz. Horrible design. to get to this mezzanine there are 4 ramps that start at the back of the lawn and angle straight out toward the upper deck. effectively sectioning off the lawn from 1 large lawn, to 3-5 sections with 10 foot gaps where there is cement. yes people sit under there and they are covered but there are numerous support poles in the way of the view.
2) No alcohol in seated areas/lawn...what? are you kidding. No... there's a "pub" like 200 yards behind the lawn and concession area and you have to consume it there. Saw security walking the crowd the whole time and did confiscate beer.
3) They allow chairs...but ANYTHING GOES! If you can carry it, its in. So this smaller than normal lawn area with bad sightlines to begin with allows any type of folding chair you care to lug from your car over the bridge. Many other venues only allow "beach height" of 9 inches off the grownd. so as to not obstruct the view. But i guess since you can't see unless you're standing anyway, whats the difference.
AVOID THIS VENUE IF YOU CAN.

Venue much better, nice big lawn, PACKED with folks. Everyone can see, everyone can DRINK!
Item: Towards the end of the 5 new songs at the top of the second set, I was talking to some dude at the side of the lawn who I bumbed a cigarette from and Some other dude walked up to me and offered me his seats on the 8th row CENTER! I didn't understand or care why he was leaving. I thanked him and down I went during the opening chords of Subdivisions. Holy Shit I was like 20 feet fom Getty and Alex. for Natural Science, Witch Hunt, Professor Peart's Solo, Oh my god It was unreal.

It was good to get a couple of shows in a week and now I can't wait for MSG, NYC Sept. 17. (Second row off the floor, close to stage!!)
