It's one of those HBO dramas. Not currently playing, I gather. I don't have HBO myself -- I've just seen the first 2 seasons on DVD.

It's about the rise of a mining town in South Dakota in the years following the Civil War. It's sort of a Western, but not your typical Western -- it's about all the interpersonal, social, business, and political dynamics that go into shaping a community out of anarchy and chaos. Meanwhile, there's rampant gunplay, gambling, prostitution, murder, conspiracy, and more. It's completely badass.

I think "Lost" is one of those shows that pretty much everyone but me watches. It also seems like one of those shows that you have to have watched from the beginning to have any clue what's going on.
