Kataklysm: US Support Announced

Kataklysm will embark on a US headlining tour early 2007 to support their new album "In the Arms of Devastation", it's re-release, and their soon-to-be-released DVD.

Their support will be Sworn Enemy, All Shall Perish, Too Pure to Die, and Blood Runs Black.

Sworn Enemy are one of the few hardcore bands I have heard/like. Though I havent heard All Shall Perish, from their music videos they sound like okay "deathcore." Too Pure to Die are a hardcore band. Blood Runs Black are metalcore.

Fuck all the "haters." I'm going. Kataklyms were awesome on Metal Crusaders Tour.

Well, don't get me started on all those opening acts, but Kataklysm themselves are a part of this pointless movement of being brutal for the sake of being brutal. I'm falling out of death and black metal as a whole now.

you dont have any prior knowledge of Kataklysm. They are not new (15 years running)..so...

Eras aren't what matters, the sound is. So I made an uninformed opinion about their "movement", doesn't change the fact that they're uninspired aggressive music like everyone else.

well..I like them. You finding nothing special in Kataklysm is like me finding nothing special in Peter Gaybriel.

I'm not pushing Peter on you. I don't push anything on anyone, for that matter. When people start pushing shit on me is when I get pissed. I'm well-versed in music, and if I'm gonna like something, chances are, I've already heard it.

I am not trying to push Kataklysm on your either, it just think the comment about being brutal just to be brutal was not necessarily true.

Like you said before, music is a medium for emotion (something along those lines.) Black metal and Death metal are no exception. Death metal and black metal tend to express different emotions that, say, a progressive or atmospheric band.

You obviously I dont go walking around ripping peoples head off, or punching babies, so I dont take Kataklysm for their brutality and anger.

On that note...

Kataklysm is basically a band everyone likes and no one loves. Everyone's heard their schtick before a hundred times or more.
