Stick To Your Guns -- Detroit, MI -- March 28th, 2014

A band from Milwaukee called Expire played first. They started the show off well & got the crowd really into it. I thought they sounded very similar to the band Backtrack. The cool thing is, this was a sold out show, and the room was already full for the first band. That was awesome!

Counterparts played next. They're from Ontario. I'd never heard their music before, but I thought they were incredible. I'll check 'em out some more for sure.

Hundredth was next. I've seen them at least 7 or 8x now. They're not a good live band, they're a great live band. Go check them out if you get a chance.

Hundredth setlist
Weathered Town
Carry On
Free Mind / Open Spirit

Terror was next. I'll never ever forget the first time I saw them in 2004 on their tour w/ Unearth, The Black Dahlia Murder & Remembering Never. I had never seen a crowd that crazy at a show... not even close. I became hooked, and it's been that way ever since for me. Last night was no exception. The crowd wend bonkers from the word "Go," and it didn't stop the entire set. Terror plays pretty much the same set every time you see them. They just play the songs in a different order. Who cares, though, because they are fantastic live! It's 30 minutes of absolute craziness, and it's so much fun! I'll never get sick of seeing them play "Spit My Rage" and "Keep Your Mouth Shut."

Terror setlist

Live By The Code

Spit My Rage

Keep Your Mouth Shut
Keepers Of The Faith

Stick To Your Guns headlined. To be honest, I thought they had no chance to follow Terror successfully. I stand corrected. They were great! The cool thing about this tour was that every band was fantastic, and each band got progressively better as the night went on. My only minor complaint about STYG shows is that I think their singer does too much talking on stage. It kills the energy of the show. I understand that comes with the territory at their shows, but to me their singer, in an attempt to sound deep, insightful, and philisophical, just comes off sounding kinda silly. He's very sincere, though. I dunno, maybe I just don't get it because I was never an angstful youth. Who knows? "Against Them All" was an early highlight. After "Life In a Box" a fight broke out in the crowd, so they stopped the show for a few minutes until that was handled. That was cool. "Amber" was an excellent closer. All in all an awesome show by all five bands. They did a nice job putting this tour together.
