By "more exposure" I really meant "gain more fans". I know their level of mainstream appeal wouldn't change with this tour, but it's still a chance to play in front of people who haven't heard them or even heard OF them before. Even though the music isn't that similar it's not completely inconceivable that an Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, or Asking Alexandria fan could turn into a fan of Cannibal Corpse as well. Maybe not right away, but the ones who are least familiar with who the band is might get that "push" in that direction if they see them live. The 2009 tour they were out with similar bands (Job for a Cowboy, Behemoth, Black Dahlia Murder) or main stage bands that were from the same era where those fans were likely already well aware of them (Slayer, Marilyn Manson). The closest band stylistically on this tour to them is Suicide Silence, so they'd be a bit more of the odd ball band on the tour.
