So Windhand is stopping here on their way to SXSW.
At first, it was at a place called Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club. It's a little hole in the wall place that looks really shitty but has really good shows from time to time. That got moved for some reason. The place it got moved to was Black Label Cycles, a motorcycle place (I think?) that also does shows. It's been booking some great tours so that's cool. A couple of days ago, there was a motherfucking gang shooting at Black Label Cycles, so now they pretty much can't have shows there for the foreseeable future.
So the show got moved again, this time to the record store that I work for. It's a tiny place and would be, by far, the biggest show they've ever had there, but all the openers except one had to drop off. These shows are usually free too, so that's pretty cool.
Just got word today that it got moved AGAIN, and now it'll be at The Riot Room, downtown KC's place for concerts, at midnight AFTER King Buzzo (from the Melvins) does his solo set. The funny thing is, there's another band performing BEFORE King Buzzo too!
