Queens of the Stone Age -- Richmond, VA -- December 16th, 2013

This was my first time seeing QOTSA and they put on a great show. They had some great jam moments during stuff like Better Living Through Chemistry and other tracks like Sick, Sick, Sick and Turnin on the Screw were way heaver than I expected. The crowd was a weird mix of 18 year old girls that were just there to yell at Josh and super aggressive dudes that were there to go apeshit. I was the first one into the venue and landed a spot on the rail right in front of Josh. He didn't go on any rants and seemed really happy all night. The show sold out in like 2 days and the crowd was very responsive. They changed the setlist up a bit from other nights on this tour and I really liked the changes they made for our show. Highlights for me were The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret, If I Had a Tail, Turnin on the Screw, Little Sister, and Fairweather Friends. I Appear Missing was on the setlist but they did Feel Good instead. Shirts were only $20 but they were sold out of all the normal sizes which was a shame because the tour shirt looked really awesome. This venue only has a capacity of about 1,500 so it was a far cry from the Barclays Center the show before.

Also, if anyone was at one of the other U.S. shows this December and bought the tour shirt, what dates are on the back? Is it the November European ones and the December U.S. ones or just all the U.S. dates from this year? I want to know because I'm trying to track down one of those shirts online.
