Only one week hence after making this statement, and I think it has finally clicked with me. What did it was, I think, listening to this album with good headphones and no distractions. It's really a beautiful piece of work, calm in places and crushing in others, working its way back and forth between the various extremes with the deftness of a band who've been doing their thing for decades.
Anyway, I'm finally fully on board with Sunbather
, so there goes the fun of being the lone contrarian who still doesn't "get" the album at year end when it makes the MetalSetlists Best of 2013 list.
